Voice Inversion scrambling is an analog method of obscuring the content of a transmission. It sometimes used in public service radio, automobile racing, cordless telephones and the Family Radio Service. Without a descrambler, the transmission makes the speaker sound like “Donald Duck”. It is called “voice inversion”, but the technique operates on the passband of the information and so can be applied to any information being transmitted.
There are various forms of voice inversion which offer differing levels of security. Overall, voice inversion scrambling offers little true security as software and even hobbyist kits are available from kit makers for scrambling and descrambling. The cadence of the speech is not changed. It is often easy to guess what is happening in the conversation by listening for other audio cues like questions, short responses and other language cadences.
The simplest form of voice inversion splits the voice information into two bands and inverts them around a carrier frequency. This will make the low tones of the voice sound like high ones and vice versa.
There are more advanced forms of voice inversion which are more complex and require more effort to descramble. One method is to use a random code to choose the carrier frequency and then change this code in real time. This is called Rolling Code voice inversion and one can often hear the “ticks” in the transmission which signal the changing of the inversion point.
Another method is Split Band Voice Inversion sometimes called VSB. This is where the band is split and then each band is inverted separately. A rolling code can also be added to this method for Split Band Variable Inversion.
Common carrier frequencies are: 2.868kHz, 2.632kHz, 2.718kHz, 2.868kHz, 3.023kHz, 3.107kHz, 3.196kHz, 3.333kHz, 3.339kHz, 3.496kHz, 3.729kHz and 4.096kHz.

We propose a new scrambling scheme and key distribution scheme. A hash function and a pseudo-random number generator are used to prepare the video stream before being encrypted. What’s the best way to transfer from Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel to Regal Kowloon Hotel?

We’re transfering from Disney’s Hollywood Hotel to Regal Kowloon Hotel along Mody Road on a Sunday. MTR or bus? How much if taxi? We’ll be carrying small pieces of luggage too.

This is the hotel I have stayed before and the most direct way other than taking the taxi is to take the bus:
Take the shuttle to the main entrance and transfer to Citybus No. R8 2 stops to Lantau Link Toll Plaza. Transfer again to A21 at the same bus stop and alight at the 1st bus stop after turning into Chatham Road South after Salisbury Road and walk southwards to Mody Road. Turn left into Mody Road and keep to the left side of Mody Road till you hit the hotel. R8:HK$7. A21: HK$26. If use octopus card, HK$21 for A21.
For children under age of 12 will be half price for all rides.

As for taxi, the fare will be around HK$300 to HK$400 from the hotel and only take only the red taxi. The ride may take you 20 to 30 minutes, depending the road the taxi take and the traffic conditions.

Here’s a review of the movie: Similar to the Transformers films, the new Astro Boy film is more concerned with finding a new contemporary audience, who may have never heard of the robot boy character before, rather than providing a nostalgia trip for older audiences who grew up with the original character. The good news is that the new Astro Boy film is far superior to the Transformers films and while some of us may feel a little sad that the theme music from the original television cartoon doesn’t even appear during the end credits of the new film, this new Astro Boy is still a tremendous amount of fun.

For the uninitiated, Astro Boy first appeared as a character in a 1951 manga, created by the legendary Japanese animator Osamu Tezuka who has been referred to as the Japanese Walt Disney (with Astro Boy being his Mickey Mouse). The very basic premise in this 2009 film maintains the character of Astro Boy (voiced by Freddie Highmore) as a Pinocchio for the atomic age. Set in a futuristic world where humans and robots co-exists, Astro Boy is created by scientific genius Dr. Tenma (voiced by Nicholas Cage) after the death of his son. However, once Astro Boy is brought to life, Tenma decides that he has made a huge mistake and the boy robot is cast out to fend for himself.

This Astro Boy is overall aimed at younger audiences with the darker aspects of Astro’s origins being rather rushed so that the film can arrive at the point where it can start to introduce lighter and more comedic elements.  However, there is a lot of humour and a lot of visual gags in Astro Boy which are genuinely funny, so the older audiences won’t mind the Saturday morning kids cartoon feel to some of the scenes. Older audiences are particularly going to enjoy the General Stone character (voiced with wicked relish by Donald Sutherland) who is trying to win popular approval by starting a war on false pretences and using slogans such as “It’s Not Time For Change!”

Directed by David Bowers (Flushed Away) the animation in Astro Boy is not jaw-dropping on its own accord but it does facilitate the storyline and stylistically evokes the original series artwork, with a more modern edge. Astro Boy does contain several nods to its Japanese origins with the inclusion of a couple of giant robots and the sort of mass metropolitan destruction that features so prominently in post-World War II Japanese popular culture. Nevertheless, the film never gets too dark for its young audience and indeed it is during one of the big carnage scenes that the filmmakers very comically reveal Astro discovering that he has machine guns in his butt. Moments such as this one help to make this new incarnation of Astro Boy a suitably fun and entertaining hero for a new generation.

The markdowns are enough to make even the most frugal traveler think twice about staying home.

“Given so many people have lost their jobs and aren’t getting raises and aren’t getting bonuses, it did not seem appropriate to do a price increase this year,” said Dave Santucci, spokesman for the aquarium in downtown Atlanta.

A ticket at the aquarium will cost the same this year as it did last Ñ $27 for adults. Visit once, and you get a “bounce pass” to return any time that year for $15. And the aquarium is brokering deals with surrounding attractions like the World of Coca-Cola to offer combination tickets at discount prices.

And it couldn’t come at a better time.

The nation’s tourism industry hasn’t seen a year this bad since just after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, when hotel occupancy dropped 16 percent over the prior year, said Jan Freitag, vice president of Smith Travel Research, which follows the hotel industry. Hotel occupancy dropped 10 percent from November 2007 to the same month in 2008, he said.

“It’s not pretty right now, from the hotel perspective,” he said. “Some analysts out there think it’s going to get much worse.”

So there you have it; Atlanta is a buyer’s market. And it provides a high quality of living, with plenty of culture, history and modern real estate.

What are the conditions for getting a vacation refund from British Petroleum?

My family was planning a vacation to Destin, Florida starting on the 25 of June and lasting for a week. How can we get a refund from the company- if we can yet. We have insurance on the house that we already paid for (in January or February), but it only applies if someone gets very injured or sick and has a doctors note. Please help if you can.
