Getting To Disneyland

Since first opening its doors in 1955, Disneyland theme park has remained at the forefront of family entertainment destinations and offers something for kids of all ages, from tiny tots to teenagers, as well as grownups!

To date, the famous theme park has attracted around 500 million guests with extra special visitors including several presidents as well as royalty and other heads of state.

Whether you are travelling from Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego or further afield, you will be able to navigate your way to Disneyland with ease.

Many of Disneyland’s visitors decide not to drive to the resort and opt for other methods of transportation. Wherever you are travelling from, there are trains and buses you can catch which will transport you to Disneyland safely, quickly and easily. You can also hire a car and take control of your own journey.

Disneyland is situated in Anaheim, Orange County in the American state of California. If you are travelling by aeroplane then book flights to either Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or John Wayne Airport, both of which lie in close proximity to the Disneyland resort.

John Wayne Airport is the closest airport to the Disneyland Resort at around fourteen miles. Located in Santa Ana, California, the John Wayne (or Orange County) Airport is much smaller than LAX and is therefore very easy to navigate.

If you arrive at John Wayne Airport then you can get to Disneyland by public transport or you may prefer to hire a car and drive.

If you are driving then you need to join Freeway 55 and travel north for around three miles. Then you join Freeway 5 and continue north for approximately seven miles. Look out for signs for Harbor Boulevard as you want to join it and then you simply follow the signs to Disneyland.

LAX lies around 35 miles away from Disneyland and the journey can be made by driving yourself or catching a bus. You can catch a shuttle bus to Disneyland from any Los Angeles area airport. Some of the better known shuttle companies include Super Shuttle and Golden West Express. You can reserve your seats beforehand, which always helps to make your travel plans that little bit easier.

If you want to drive from LAX to Disneyland then take Freeway 105 east for 16 miles before transferring to Freeway 605 which you travel southbound on for just a few miles. Next you take Freeway 91 east for around seven miles and then transfer to Freeway 5 where you head south for five miles. Exit onto Disneyland Way and just follow the signs to the resort.

Disneyland covers a large area so a spot of forward planning is sensible before leaving for your trip. If you intend to visit the resort for more than one day then you could explore the options offered by Disneyland hotels. There are several different hotels to choose from so it is unlikely you will be stuck for choices.

Disneyland/California dvd for UK.?

Where can i get a free copy of the DVD for Disneyland in LA ? looked on site but it wants a zip code and being in the UK it won’t accept my address ?

Careful. The dvd you receive from America may be formated for American NTSC players (Region 1). In the UK, you have a PAL player and a PAL television. (region 2)
I promise you that it will NOT play on your player, unless you already know that you can play both. I bought a cheap player in Europe, so I could play both PAL and NTSC, only after testing it in the shop with an American dvd.
Some cheap players are designed to play dvd’s in several regions of the world, to increase their sales area.

how can i take my old cell number a 954 area code & add it to a voice mail or answering service im in 561 now

hi i moved to a new area 15 mins away with new area code i have a new cell # in florida & its a 561 area code its in boca raton was in ft lauderdale old one i just gave up was 954 they said i can still keep it but they only have an option of getting another complete seperate cell phone i dont need 2 cell phones old number it was my buisness number was having to dial 1 area code and number to custumers and visa versa i want old custumers to be able to still call me but need to have a new 561 number any help would be apreciated thanks
i only want old number in a voice mail or something like an answering service to recieve messages from those unaware of number change then slowly fade from that number

You could keep the 954 cell phone and get a 561 landline that you can forward to your cell phone. Depending on how many calls you get on the landline number you will need a long distance plan or unlimited long distance.
Check with BellSouth first to find out what they say about forwarding these calls, it may not cost you anything.

If you weren’t planning on having a landline phone it will cost you almost as much as having two cell phone plans, but at least this way you only have to carry one phone to be able to receive calls from both area codes.
If you wanted to get a landline anyway, then it’s a great way to do what you had in mind.

Hey I’m In Cincinnati And The Bengals Have Some Troubled Players!

Just stepped off a small plane in Ohio as I begin my college football scouting trip and the Bengals are certainly raising the eyebrows of the locals in Cincinnati.

Why else would owner Mike Brown issue a public statement after the Bengals drafted former Virginia linebacker Ahmad Brooks? Second-year receiver Chris Henry and 2006 draft picks Frostee Rucker and A.J. Nicholson have been charged with criminal offenses in recent months. When they drafted them the Bengals were aware that all three got into trouble during their college careers.

Now Brooks is the talk of the town as he was booted off his college team by former Jets coach Al Groh and the chemistry of the team is coming into question. Coach Marvin Lewis has done an exceptional job but is coming under scrutiny for turning what seems like a blind eye to the situation.

The Miami Herald, citing two sources reported last month that Groh kicked Brooks (6-4, 259 pounds) out of the program for repeated drug test failures.

Linebackers coach Ricky Hunley attended Brooks’ pre-draft workout and was selected to conduct the session. Hunley was an assistant coach at the University of Florida in 2001 and is familiar with Brooks from those days as a potential recruit.

Wide receiver Chris Henry has been arrested four times since December on charges ranging from marijuana possession in Covington to felony gun charges in Florida. Defensive end Frostee Rucker, the team’s third-round pick in April’s regular draft, is facing spousal abuse and vandalism charges in Los Angeles. Fifth-round pick A.J. Nicholson was arrested in May in Tallahassee, Fla., on theft charges. The linebacker had been previously sent home by Florida State before getting to play in January’s Orange Bowl game for violating team rules.

Brooks, whose father, Perry, was a defensive tackle in the NFL with Washington from 1978-84, recorded 117 tackles as a freshman in 2003 to lead Virginia and he earned All-America honors as a sophomore with a season that included 90 tackles, eight sacks, 10 tackles for loss, two interceptions and 11 quarterback pressures.

His draft stock took a hit last season when he missed five games due to knee, ankle and back injuries. Brooks’ issues off of the field also hurt his draft status. He was arrested on marijuana possession charges in 2003 (he has completed a diversion program) to go along with the allegations of his failed drug tests last year. Greg Williams, Brooks’ agent, presented information to those in attendance at the player’s June workout that Brooks had passed drug tests the past two months.

Brian Simmons, David Pollack and Odell Thurman (last year’s top two draft picks) head up the Bengals pre-training camp depth chart as linebacker. Thurman missed last month’s mini-camp due to undisclosed personal reasons. Among the potential backups, only Hannibal Navies and Marcus Wilkins have more than three seasons of experience. Landon Johnson, a third-year player, has started 21 games and has shown the versatility to play all three positions.

I was wondering because i have this flight ticket that i haven’t used and needed some must see place to go to within the next three months or so, on a resaonable budget, on maybe the west coast, or florida or some places i may have missed on the east coast and mid west. Oh maybe name some upcoming festivals. i’m 27 and i love historical sites, festivals, maybe place my friends and i can hang out— we are single — no children and ready to enjoy each others company. etc.

If you stay in a Disney hotel (Florida) and you don’t have a car how easy is it to get out of Disney?

Last time we went, we stayed in a hotel in Lake Buena Vista, didn’t hire a car (we are from the UK and as I drive a lot in my job I didn’t want to drive on holiday as well) but found free buses and the occasional pay bus or cab. Can you get in and out of Disney so easily? Do you have to book cabs to come in from I Drive, get you and drive you back out again?

I don’t understand why people are telling you about the complimentary transportation to the theme parks at Walt Disney World when you’re clearly asking about transportation to get OUTSIDE of Walt Disney World. Anyway, it’s fairly easy to get to the other theme parks and places outside of Walt Disney World. Of course, if you’re staying at one of the Walt Disney World Resorts you have complimentary transportation to the four theme parks, two water parks, and Downtown Disney, but remember, you also have complimentary transportation to and from Orlando International Airport via Disney’s Magical Express. When I stay at Walt Disney World I rarely leave property, but I’ve used the cab service before. You don’t even have to call the cab company. There are cabs parked outside each of the Walt Disney World Resorts almost always, and if you need to call for one Bell Services at the Resort will do it for you. A cab ride can be a bit expensive, though. I’d also suggest using the Mears shuttle service. Reservations need to be made, but Bell Services can do that for you, too. They can make any reservations for a shuttle or cab to pick you up and bring you back to the Resort as well.
