Disneyland Fast Pass Rules

Do you have to use the fast pass at Disneyland CA before the expiration time?

Are they strict with this rule? i am traveling there in mid august when it is super busy and i am wondering if you can “collect” the fastpasses. if i get a ticket and it expires at 2 what happens if i show up at 3? What are your expeiriences?

unless you get a cast member that just doesn’t care, you wont be able to use it.
I know that I’m really strict with that.
Also, you can only obtain one fast pass at a time.
However, if you get your parents to go see the presentation for the vacation club, they give you some fast passes that you can use at any time.
