Disneyland fast pass?

What’s the best strategy when using Past Passes at Disneyland and CA Adventure? What do you do during the waiting time after you get a fast pass?

The idea of FastPass is to minimize the time you have to wait in line by giving you a return time for later in the day. When you return at your FP time you have a minimal wait.

So the first tip is don’t get there before your start time. You will not be allowed to use it early. If you get there early you are just waisting time waiting, which is why you got the FastPass in the first place. Just about every time I go there is always at least a few people who are waiting 10-15 minutes for their start time. When they could go do something else for a while and come back and not have to wait to use their FastPass.

Use the time you are waiting to go on other rides, eat, or shop.

Then before you use your FastPass for one ride, get another FastPass. You are allowed 1 FP every 2 hours or when your first FastPass time starts. So if you get a FP at Space Mountain at 11AM for 3PM-4PM, you can get another one for any attraction (except Space Mountain) at 1PM. But if you get one for Autopia at 4:30PM for 5:15PM-6:15PM, you can get another one for any attraction at 5:15PM even though it has not been 2 hours.
